Personally, I feel that there is a comparative surfeit of GT's so if some get modified and the owners desire to do that or buy modified cars it seems fine by me but I would poll the owners of phoney NART Spyders and see what they would give for their tops that Strayhan hacked off so long ago.

Oh ya, we'll see what happens to the value of the cars when I win LeMans in my GTX1....

Actually Doc you do bring up an interesting point. One in fact I never considered (but then again I also didn't think about the future value of the GT when I bought it from the dealer)

I also didn't consider the potential ramifications if I take the GTX1 in for Warranty Service.

Both interesting questions I suppose. I'd be more interested in the latter even though I'm planning on having my guys do most/if not all the servicing.

I'm planning on modifying it further.:cheers It's going to be fun!

“############ I have no interest in purchasing this product and probably should not comment but the above seems a bit grandiose”. Dr. Robert Harms

While I certainly don’t want to get into a discussion about medical costs, a product I often have no choice in purchasing and no voice in pricing. I remember a time when my grandfather said “if they aren’t complaining about your price your to low”. This is a piece of history that in time won’t be available. Three years ago a 67’ Shelby could be found for $37,000-$45,000. Find one today for under a hundred grand, can’t be done. 50 years ago a doctor would come to your house if you were really ill. That just isn’t viable due to malpractice insurance rates and restrictions. It takes the right person to make a commitment to a car like the GTX1, sorry you are not joining the family.

I am in a LOUSY mood today, lost a John, he was a gentleman and friend, he was only 48.

When a supporting vendor puts out a press release, it's just that.

The vendor is paying to be here, making this site possible. They attend our events, dinners in Vegas and Scottsdale. Cut them some slack, PLEASE!

If you want to buy his car, step up and do so. If you don't keep it to yourself, or start another thread.

Obviously Ford had enough faith in them to sell them a car for $1 to make the first prototype. This is a custom body work. If you don't get it now, you will never get. I deal with restoration shops, I understand all estimates are educated guesses.

Oh by the way, MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Awesome question! The area's of the car that we deal with are covered by us, being a Ford backed product the rest of the car continues to be covered by the original warranty.

Bony, sorry to hear about your friend, John, whom, after reading the thread about him, seems like will be greatly missed. My condolances.

I don't think anyone, certainly not me, is attempting to downgrade the GTX1 or Genaddi in this thread.

I'm looking forward to getting my GTX1 back. Everyone I've communicated with, for what it's worth, those who actually received theirs have told me that irregardless of the time/hassle/bull they put up with they were ecstatic with their cars upon delivery.

They(Genaddi) might do themselves a favor and create a thread letting potential customers know of the warranty. I never thought of asking. I had/\have high expectations of the quality of the conversion.

ps, I don't think, btw, that because a vendor pays for a site in any way shields him from criticism, constructive or otherwise. Ultimately that is the moderators perogative.

pss, I've been a paying subscriber for a little while and don't have the icon under my name. What gives:biggrin

Greetings,

My comments were NOT directed at your post. We most likely need a moderator as this forum is growing. Basically this thread is about a press release, frankly if I was posting a press release as a supporting vendor has the right to do, I would lock the thread.

I have been on forums since Al Gore invented the internet. Often there is a narrow line of what is acceptable and not.

If I want to do business with Mark and Yogi, I am sure the right medium is via the phone, email, private messages and not on an open forum. I have seen some messages on this board to them, that if I was the moderator I would delete. Just me, I felt they were not for the good of the order.

I do however, feel I understand custom construction. I am waiting for some finned brake drums that were promised in blood last June, not 2006 but 2005.
My project is at a stand still, the vendor is honorable, we have had one issue after another, non were predictable. I suppose I could get on another forum and call him names and such and I am sure I would not get these drums one day sooner, but perhaps much later or not at all.

You know, I think Chip Foose, Orange County Choppers and Boyd Coddington who build cars for televisionin a week or three create the false impression that they represent the custom construction industry.

There was another thread where Ida fans were attacking Accufab, and viseversa, hell one vendor is on the West Coast and the other is on the East. They are both credible and as far as I can tell equal. I am going to work with folks that support this forum and are geographically convenient for me. What is the point to agitate and create bad will.

Wouldn't it be great to have Dustin Whipple directly answering questions about his blower? The more good vendors we have, the more interesting this forum will remain.

Ok, my 2¢, I am well done to a crisp. :biggrin

God Bless America,
daniel

Well, if I could have 2 more GTs, I would make one a track only car and one a GTX1. :thumbsup

I also don't like the fact that some people bash products with absolutely no tech. Those kinds of posts should be deleted and, if kept up, those kinds of people should be banned. :thumbsdow

Boy, you guys are tough. Guess I'll have to stop bashing other colors (just for Xmas).
