Post your prediction of what the GT will sell for at Barret Jackson.

Optimistic. B-J is a venue for volume on charity, but not big money that doesn't want to be associated with a circus sideshow. I would be surprised if it much exceeds $1.5m.

I got $100 bones that says you are $500k off.

First, I said "much exceeds." Could be more. But doubt it's much more.

Second, no way, because then you'd go pay $2.5 million for it just to screw me out of $100.

$ 1 850 032.05 .. That's my " price is right " bid.. :biggrin

I see $2.2

Like any other restrictive covenant, Ford will not be able to prevail on the Cena case.
That said, what he did was completely wrong.
As far as the charity auction (awesome!!!) I'm thinking 1.75M
Best,
Mark

I successfully enforce restrictive convenants all time, albeit non-auto related.

Yes. But I am sure Cena's lawyers will use this event against Ford. saying...."If you allow one car to be flipped - regardless of circumstances, why not another.?" Andy (ajb)

$2.5M all in. just hope it doesn't stir up another Cena stunt.

Gentlemen,

Not so. On our application to buy a NFGT Ford asked if the car was going to be used for or donated to a charity. This GT is not being flipped at all. It was allocated to Ron Pratt by Ford for this specific purpose. As I understand it Ron clearly stated exactly what he intended and Ford not only thought it was a great idea that would generate tremendous positive publicity in addition to raising money for a good charity, Ford is participating in this auction sale by donating the driving school course. Ron is not keeping a dime of the proceeds and he stated exactly what he intended on his application.

Cena on the other hand did the opposite of what he said he would do on his application, and he kept all of the sale proceeds. These two situations have nothing in common.

And I don’t often disagree with Il Duce by a full order of magnitude but my prediction is exactly double DBK’s #. 3M. In any event that’s going to be a fun night at BJ Scottsdale and I’m looking forward to running the bartenders out of Makers Mark with my fellow GT owners!

LC says $3,000,000

you never know, Ron Pratt may buy it back, then auction it off again and give it all to charity. he's done it before. should be a fun night to see.

2 million hammer price

BTW BJ must be licking their chops....that is a great draw for them. That place will be packed like never before!

I will go with $1.9 m :smash

Too bad it isn’t selling in 2017, it looks like the charitable value will be less in 2018; but I’ll guess $2.54M

2.25 and whomever it is will be stoked all around.

I’d say 1.146m.

I have not seen one successfully enforced (medical) in NY in 30 years of administrative practice.
Does require a defense, and may have a geographic component.
Sorry this is off topic.
I still hope Ford prevails against Cena!

I don't think you guys are taking in consideration the power of alcohol and tax deductions!
