Just went and picked up the new Taurus. This thing rocks. It's quiet, it's roomy, it's got a massive trunk, it's got bitchin seats, it looks cool. I was driving back home and the car was giving me an ass massage. An ASS MASSAGE. It's got cruise control distance detectors, it's got this cool thing where a light goes on in your side mirrors if there is a car in your blind spot, rear view camera, killer nav. Basically, it's loaded with technology.
And obviously, this thing is fast. If the weather holds I want to take it to Milan tomorrow. Really accelerates good for passing and a big upgrade from the N.A 3.7 accelerating past 100. I anticipate this thing being a tune away from being a 12 second DD. The only thing that isn't as good in this car as the MKS (that I can tell in 40 miles) is the switchgear is definitely more plasticky. Seems like the brakes don't stop all that hard either but it's not a track car, it's a fast, comfortable, AMERICAN sedan.
Very pleased with it.
