The past two days were a blast! Thanks Chip for being an excellent party host (as always) and organizing an unforgettable day yesterday. The cruise out to Payson, lunch, and meeting new GT owners was awesome. Kate and I enjoyed the movie and great company last night as well. Looking forward to more events in the future!

With all the excitement of the coolness of the event(s), has anyone yet commented if the movie is actually any good, or not?

I agree with all the comments above - thank you a MILLION times over Chip! Great fun and we really enjoyed catching up with folks we'd not seen in a very long time AND making new friends. The pictures and videos from all are great and only hint at what fun was had.

The movie... Let's just say it's not in the class of LeMans or Grand Prix... Most of the driving scenes, if you ask me, were pretty contrived. Very interesting if you're a Ford fan but I fear outside that group, it's not going to be particularly compelling or popular... I hope I'm wrong...

Pretty good movie but had a little too much history manipulation. 7.5 /10.

Activities started Saturday and ending Monday with the Movie. Ranking of activities as follows:
1) Socializing with other Forum Members
2) Chip's BBQ
3) Drive to Payson for lunch and back
4) OTTO Club gathering
5) Drive to theater
6) Movie
Don't get me wrong, movie was entertaining and worth going to see. Note the sound clip in the final scene when the GT starts.

IMO ONLY
I think the movie will play good to most people as it is a good story about Ford becoming involved in Lemans racing whether accurate or not. May not be what's expected from a hard core racing picture aficionado and as stated above racing scenes just OK. Movie is more of character study of Ken Miles and Carrol Shelby and the hurdles getting the GT to Le Mans.

Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it and will view it again Saturday at another Ford/Ferrari outing but pretty much agree with partssman's list.

That was the first thing Jim and I commented on after the show! LOL

I really enjoyed it and think it will be equally enjoyed by those less familiar with the story. One fact: it is about 10 minutes longer than Forrest Gump, but it didn’t feel nearly as long... which is a good thing!
