Passionate Owner and Sculptor of a Ford GT 2005.
Alain COUPAS is a recognized French Artist, mainly inhabited by three devouring passions :
- The first two, are Painting and Sculpture, to which he dedicates his active life.
- The other is the Ford GT.
In 2013, he finally realized his dream, becoming owner of a Ford GT 2005 which he parked in the center of his Artist Studio.
Having in common the passion for the artistic creation and the passion of the Ford GT, the Architect that I am, and the Artist Alain Coupas could only become friends.
In 2013, to associate his passions, Alain Coupas decided to create a Sculpture inspired by his Ford GT.
He longly tried different techniques and materials, without his requirement of total perfection being satisfied. After three years of work, he just obtained a fascinating result.
To evoke the basic material of the Ford GT, he carved a 120 Kg block of pure aluminum, intended for parts of aircraft engines. At the end of the work, the weight of the sculpture, inside being empty, is reduced to around 30 Kg. The approach of the volumes, the delicate modeling of the curves, the precision of the details, and the meticulous finishing totally by hand, require hundreds of hours.
True jewel, the result is not at all, a simple model or a reproduction.
Much more precious and exclusive, the Sculpture of Alain Coupas is a sensitive and exalted interpretation. It is the expression of a confirmed artist's emotion, the personal translation of the fascination produced by this fantastic car.

For these reasons it is definitely a real Work of Art in the true sense of the term.
Alain Coupas titled his Sculpture «*Aluminium Venus*».
Totally enthusiastic, I convinced Alain Coupas to sell me his Sculpture.
My wife refusing the presence of my real Ford GT in our Living Room, it is this fascinating sculpture that throne henceforth, among other Pieces of Art, on a background of woodwork and furniture of the French18th century. This Sculpture extend everyday my pleasure to be the owner of a Ford GT.
Its dimensions are roughly : Length 93 cm, Width 42 cm, Height 24 cm. (Approximately 1/5).
Its weight is around 30 Kg (Interior si empty).
Like every real Artists, Alain Coupas needs to share his emotions, and in this case, he wants to do it with the passionated of the Ford GT .
His project is to sculpt a very small series of «*Aluminium Venus*», definitely limited to 24 (24 to evoke Le Mans), and exclusively reserved to Ford GT enthusiasts.
The underside of each sculpture will be engraved with his signature, the date, the number in the total of 24, the name of the buyer, and, on request, the VIN of his Ford GT.
Pure Artist, isolated in the French Countryside, Alain Coupas, does not want to deal with commercial or financial matters. He asked me if I could help him to publicize and diffuse his sculpture.
I agreed, for two reasons :
On the one hand, this is in line with the objective of the European Ford GT Owners Club, which is to promote and develop the passion for the Ford GT.
On the other hand, it would be a pity to deprive some enthusiasts of the pleasure to own such a jewel.
The price of each sculpture, entirely for Alain Coupas, is 19 000 €.
( Departure from France, not including the shipping or possible tax in the country of the buyer).
I remind, that there is no commercial aspect in my action.
I would like to point out that not only the availability of my help, my time and my energy are totally voluntary, but also that the professional following photos are a gift made to the Ford GT Community, on my Initiative and with my money.
