Paint on aluminum inside bubbling up...

I just got a set of new floor mats for my car (lloyd), when I went over to install the passenger side mats I noticed that the outboard alluminum rail on the floor was starting to bubble. As far as I can tell the paint is bubbling because of corrosion underneath, I then spotted a nice little nick right around where the bubbling started.

Now here's the catch, I've only had a passenger in the car 5 times and all 5 times they were wearing sneakers. The nick in the aluminum is substantial, more than what you could do with shoes, so does that mean its something that happened durring production? Allthough the matts are covering the areas in question now, its killing me knowing its there since its only going to get worse.

Has anybody else seen this in their cars?

I also have a vibration from the dash--what did they find and which dealer did you go to.

Thanks for any help

Forget feng shui or any of that stuff.

Head directly to Hialeah, and let one of the Cuban witch-doctors have a crack at your car. Man--- you have had some issues with your car. I am glad to see it's holding up now.

See you around soon.

By the way, hope the boat show was a great success for you. I chatted with some fellows from Allied for a bit - Seemed like nice folks.

I know-- I had the intention of swinging by but barely was even at the convention site-- between the parking nightmare, the old man pissed because I didn't valet, and 2 reckless smaller versions of me- we lasted for an hour. Never again until they are at least 30 or 40 years old- I should have known better . Last year I was basically thrown out of the Intrepid display. Something about turning the wheel on those boats that is a no-no.

We definetly need a get together - There is a herd down here. It would be nice to put faces to internet personas.

I'm ready! You should have come to the marriott where the "in the water" display was. Your kids are welcome. Palm beach show is in 10 days. Come on up.

abolfaz,
I was at the Marriott, I go every year. I am looking for a new boat. What type do you sell?
