Paint on aluminum inside bubbling up...
I just got a set of new floor mats for my car (lloyd), when I went over to install the passenger side mats I noticed that the outboard alluminum rail on the floor was starting to bubble. As far as I can tell the paint is bubbling because of corrosion underneath, I then spotted a nice little nick right around where the bubbling started.
Now here's the catch, I've only had a passenger in the car 5 times and all 5 times they were wearing sneakers. The nick in the aluminum is substantial, more than what you could do with shoes, so does that mean its something that happened durring production? Allthough the matts are covering the areas in question now, its killing me knowing its there since its only going to get worse.
Has anybody else seen this in their cars?
