What if you stripped it to bare and then took it to a body shop that has a bake oven and bake it. Then repair the damaged areas and repaint.

The spots that need to be repaired are below the original primer. It would be a lot of work to chase them all labor wise

Our hoods have all the factory style plates with press zerts just like oem ones do.

What is your best price on a hood? Is carbon the only bottom finish?

Many years ago the manufacture of the hoods for the 0506 cars had some extras that Ford didn’t want to buy and he put them up for sale on the farm quest. They were unpainted which is fine. He sold them for $1700. I’m sure glad I got one in inventory.

I have a very original car (most of us do!!!) a july build 2006, but when I look sideways at the top of the hood in florescent light, I can see sand scratches in one area in the middle as if it had been repainted
