Well, I have an update to my last post...so now, my new obsession is pro hockey. My 21-year old just signed his 1st 3-year deal to play with the Montreal Canadians (our NHL hockey team)! We couldn't be happier than we are at this moment. No more giving away those season tickets! LOL

Well, I have an update to my last post...so now, my new obsession is pro hockey. My 23-year old just signed his 1st 3-year deal to play with the Montreal Canadians (our NHL hockey team)! We couldn't be happier than we are at this moment. No more giving away those season tickets! LOL

WOW, Congratulations that is awesome!!

Now that our team here in Detroit has been realigned to the East Division, we will regularly play the 'original six' teams and I look forward to seeing the Canadians back on our schedule!! I do miss the original Forum, what a great place it was.

Thanks guys! We've been on cloud 9 for 24 hours (lot of alcohol involved too ). My 19 year old was drafted to the Blackhawks in 2012...so he's the next one to go pro and my 16-yr old just made the Quebec Major Juniors in the 2nd round...crazy shit!

Congrats, maybe big contracts with lots of money. Hockey players make excellent money, don't they. I have friends with the Minn. Wild. X player and broadcaster Tom Reed. We always have a blast when in St. Paul during the season. Being from Texas, we enjoy it but don't really understand it. Very physical sport and mucho fast. FBA. That is incredible to have three sons that talented. I grew up in Calgary and Gordie Howe was my hero.....but the Habs won a ton of cups back then. Maybe your son will help them get back to glory days. What position does he play? Will he play with them next yr or start with a farm team? Congrats again!

He's a right winger with a right shot and yes, he starts with the farm team in Hamilton, but he's already developed physically to the point where he'll likely get call-up's this season. I'm betting I'll see him in a few games by the end of Nov, if not sooner. It's a 3-year deal, so if he does the work, and I know he will, the next contract would be worth many millions - before endorsements, which I'd say would be a sure bet. Right now, they absolutely need size, which they seem to have now signed with the last few players... 2 at 6'5" and one at 6'4", so they are getting there!
