Orange!

Love the change. Looks great. The wrap looks spectacular in those photos.

Can you tell us...
1. What did you have to pay for the full wrap?
2. Had the person the wrapped the car completed any previous wrap's on GT's?
3. When you get really close to it (like detailing it) can you see blemishes, etc.?

I'm considering a wrap myself for a little change. Maybe for SEMA?

AZ

will get back to you tonight....

That looks really, really, awesome.

Damn! Thats a killer wrap. Only thing I notice is they didnt do the stripe correctly where it dips down in the front bonnet, but other than that, I am VERY impressed. Really like the color.....

Replacement Clamshell Vents

It's for real....

The stripes are matt black. In fact I need to replace the clamshell vents (they are painted in glossy black from the factory as my car was quicksilver + stripes).

Thank you! So you like it?

Wow, looks great!

Our carbon clamshell vents and side scoops would look great on that! :wink

I believe he means the vents around the window area guys, not the vents that pe2unia offers. (correct me if I am wrong kip)

How much did it all cost?

It is very impressive how much it looks like paint. :eek

You could have a different color each month or year. :wink

.

WOW that looks good!!! You must have better wrappers than we do cause I have tried and haven't been overly happy with the results.

GREAT JOB ON THE CAR!!! LOVE IT!!!! :cheers

1. What did you have to pay for the full wrap?

It cost me £2,000 including a full wax treatment at the end. It was a 2 day 3 man job. The wrap is in 2 colours, the orange and the matt/flat black. The stripes, mirrors, air scoops, brake ducts, filler cap, hood/filler cap levers (even though mine were already black) were pre-cut then applied.

2. Had the person the wrapped the car completed any previous wrap's on GT's??

No. But they had done other supercars. The problem with the GT is the incredible number of surves and various surfaces. The wrapper told me a Gallardo or Murcielago are a piece of cake because there are a lot less panels and are mostly flat.

3. When you get really close to it (like detailing it) can you see blemishes, etc.??

Yes and no. Let me explain.... The wrap itself is indistinguishable from paint. It is glossy and smooth. The stripes are applied fantastically and you would not think it is an aftermarket wrap.

Until you look really closely. Now look at the back of your car... the rear light clusters (they took them off to wrap) are in a an oval area themselves. There is a groove that separates the light area to the rear bodywork. Here they could not apply the wrap without making a mess or dismantling the whole rear of the car.

Also when you open the doors the hinges could not be wrapped. All the door sills and A-pillars and door "roofs" have been wrapped, but it is virtually impossible to do the hinges, even if you take the door off.

The wrapping process is done with a big single "vinyl" sheet that is then applied to the car. Imagine a serran wrap.... now imagine how you can wrap grooves between 2 panels or the hinges.

Another "problem" area are the mirrors. Underneath on the inside (so towards the cockpit) you can see the overlapping of the wrap vinyl.

So all in all if you look super closely you could tell it is not painted.

But I had a quote for a full respray and trust me I can live with these little "issues", especially because whenever I want I can return the car stock.

Actually that was done on purpose. A little subtle homage to the Matech GT1 cars....

Indeed. I need to recover from the Whipple, wrap, Stillen clutch splash... but that is clearly in my mind, together with the CF aero spoiler.

Any plans on CF mirror housings?

Excellent!

I was aware of the scoops and wicker... I must have missed the mirrors.... They look gorgeous and I am afraid I will need to have them all at some point (soon)!....
