I'm in full thrash mode. Took a break and was browsing pics and found this site. Good stuff from the March event.

If you anyone has any questions about the Mile just let me know, I'll be happy to let you guys know whatever I know.

Looks like we may have Aloha GT bringing a small motorhome also. Do we need to make other reservations with the Texas Mile people for his overnight stays?

I heard about this article I've linked to this weekend...Looks like we may be looking for a new location next year if the Navy does what they are planning. Might be the last mile in Goliad :(

Wow. I may be fortunate than I even thought.

This is my first Mile, anywhere. Thank you all for your kind support and tips. Any suggestions you have regarding anything pertaining to running the Mile generally, Texas specifically; either on the course or off, are very much welcome.

Uh oh. I have the Bridgestone Potenza Scuderia tires. Though they're the OEM tires for the Enzo and on the Tire Rack website states the car's top speed is 221, they're Y rated at 186. Do I need to change my tires for the Mile?

Aloha, if you have the Scuderias, they are "(Y)" rated at a higher speed. Note the parentheses.

Thanks Frank. In reviewing the Tire Rack website, the rears are (110Y) but the fronts are 89Y. I'm personally not concerned about it but I understand Tech is very strict and I'd prefer to address any issues now as opposed to next week. Will Tech pass the fronts?

I highly doubt they will check the speed rating.

I was at a track event yesterday and there was a new shop there with their portable car weighing contraption. Once they weighed my car (3550 pounds with a full tank of gas) they then adjusted the camber and toe of the wheels. I really needed this as my car has been lowered and the excessive camber was very obvious (2.0 and 2.2 degrees). They then brought them in and made them square up a lot more. Before they did this my Hoosiers outside edges by about 3/4 of an inch were not touching the road. Now they are perfect which should get me better traction on the street.

They can tell you if your car is balanced side to side and front to rear. They can adjust things to even it out.

With that being said they will be out at the Mile doing all of this on site. I highly suggest talking to them.

What shop, and what price? Did you have to provide the spacers?

Many thanks all on the Scuderia responses and please forgive my Mile rookie questions. I plan to fly into Houston on Wednesday, coordinate pick up of my FGT from Texas Mongrel, rent a motorhome and make my way over to Mullet's reserved FGT spaces on Thursday.
