Well, I'm off again. This Time to go to the Pan car show, do some restoration on the 8N, and see some more dirt track racing.

Be back in a little over a week, with the family...:banana

Be good to Chip, and Dave while I'm gone.:thumbsup

Man, those are some blond kids. Keep them out of sun and use sunscreen or they suffer later in life. Look at Chip.

What a beautiful family! Frank is right on here. I'm a fair skinned blue eyed boy who never wore sun screen and I fight a running battle with skin cancer today. :bored

My tractor.

We have owned this one since new. We use it weekly for a small field. For the past 60 plus years it just keeps on ticking.

Is that a '53 ? We had one like it on my grandfather's farm & I seem to recall it was new in 1953.

I do believe it is a 53, but I was born in 65 so it pre dates me.

In '53, I was 11 and flew (alone-wouldn't be allowed today) to Ohio & worked on my Grandfather's/Uncle's farm for the summer. They had bought the Ford tractor that spring.

However, my favorite was the John Deere Model "A" which could pull 3 plow shares. I had learned to drive that tractor when I was 8. In '53, they also bought a John Deere hay/straw bailer which my uncle put me in charge of completely! I really loved summer life on the farm. Two years ago, I stopped by the farm and they were both still there - however, they could use some restoration. Pictures from '07 below:

Back from the Farm, photo's to follow once they are downloaded. Thanks for the concerns over the family. I do manufacture a number of Sunscreens for my clients which we do use liberally. No sunburns at all this summer!

Pilot, nice Jubilee. And from the looks of it you have kept it original. (No 12 volt).

Ralphie, cool farm, and tractor. Our relatives in MN., have all sorts of nice tractors.
