This may have been covered before but has Ford obsoleted any FGT parts yet? If so, what parts?

Thanks

I believe over here the law states that all parts will be available from the manufacturer for a minimum of 10 years.

I am Fairly confident it is 15 years from last production build in the United States/ Canada

Jack at Muscle Motors (forum sponsor MMP Inc.) has confirmed that the trans cooler / line kit is no longer available from Ford (Does anyone have a new or used Ford kit available?)

I should have added though that since the trans cooler isn't an original equipment part that it doesn't need to meet any availablitiy criteria.

You might check another source they may have old stock. If not you can always get Kendall's version.

Also Shadowman seem to have access to many parts that are "out of production."

Same goes for the SVO exhaust (headers) mufflers, short throw shifters and surprisingly, the upgrade wheels.

Obsolete parts

don't confuse Ford Racing parts with Ford service parts. Ford Racing carried several parts including the upgrade wheels for a few years and now those are gone but still available thru the Ford dealer system. such parts as after market headers, oil coolers and performance parts are not available from the dealer and many have gone obsolete from Ford Racing.

Also, you guys are way off as far as how many years a manufacturer has to stock parts for any one particular car. The Ford criteria goes by quantity sold in a specific time period and if it's needed for warranty. Most 2003/04 Mach1 specific parts are all gone as well as 03/04 cobra parts. 2001 Bullitt parts are all gone and some 2007-2008 Shelby GT500 parts are no longer available thru the dealer or thru Shelby. Some GT parts are obsolete and have been replaced. other parts have no ETA on back orders because the original vendors are out of business and Ford is looking for new suppliers which tells me the prices may be astronomical if they return to stock and that's a big "IF".

I've noticed huge replacement orders for FCSD stock on Ford GT parts which tells me it is probably a one time order from the vendor and the last time.

From a business model, it wouldn't make sense for Ford to go and retool parts for a 5-6 year old car at this point regardless of what the car is.

Just my humble opinion (and facts that I know)
