Hey all,

I’m back in the market for a Ford GT! I wasn’t able to pick one up when I posted here back in 2021, but the dream hasn’t faded. If you know of any solid buys, I’m probably in the “shark01” camp—looking for something in great condition but open to higher miles.

Also, does anyone have experience with cost-effective storage and maintenance options (low to no cost)? Ideally, something like a museum or dealership showroom arrangement where the car is cared for between drives. With three young kids and a tight garage at home, long-term storage is a bit tricky.

Speaking of the dream—I’ve wanted a GT since I was 7yrs when I first saw one in my dad’s showroom (he was a dealer at the time). Attaching some pics of my GT sightings in the "wild" over the years! Link Here

A couple more questions for the group:
  1. Wraps & Value – Has anyone wrapped their GT to change the color? Do wraps impact resale or collector value? I haven’t settled on a color yet because, honestly, they all look spectacular.
  2. Test Drives – Before pulling the trigger, I’d love to get behind the wheel of one. Any ideas on where I might be able to drive a GT before buying? Or at least ride along in one...
  3. Sourcing a GT - I am watching BaT, and may have a line on the one I posted about on this post: link here, but should I post in the GTs for sale forum on here too?
Appreciate any insights, and looking forward to hopefully making the dream happen!
Nice to see you here again.

Would you have room for a lift? As far as a no cost option, maybe you could trade some drive miles in exchange for storage at a neighbor's house that you are friends with. Have no idea about how museums are set up, and wouldn't trust a dealer.

I think a wrap is OK as long as it doesn't harm the paint or stripe.....probably wouldn't affect value if removed prior to sale.

You could probably arrange a ride with a member in NC. I have given rides before so others might as well.

Certainly post a wanted ad here. I'm not an auction guy so would not buy from BAT or wherever.
