Just saw this. Side stripe only 2005 SILVER - 475 miles. $152,500 BUY IT NOW. Seems like a deal for an unusual car.

Well, 152 plus my commission. :biggrin (joking)

Anyway, probably something to snap up by someone. NO Strip, looks like a couple of options, and a good (high) VIN number.

WOW.

Double WOW. Just re-read and it says NEW and from a Ford dealer. Sounds like full warranty.

Mmmmm. Nice. The new GT somehow looks more like the old MkIII road car when it's in silver w/no stripe.

You gotta love the dealers that advertise "brand new" and then show 475 miles.

Beautiful car though...

$152,500 is about $1,000 over MSRP for an "early" '05 without racing stripes.

Thats one of the rare ones. I remember a post a while back...I'll try to find it that Saleen showes NO Silver with no stripe cars ever went out of the factory...

They also said 12 cars they couldn't be sure of and we knew of one solid silver at the rally so this could be a 1 of 2 car :)

It also has the Mac... looks to me like a third party trying to sell the car for the dealer...

Matt,

According to Centerpunch's numbers there were 55 Quick Silver GT's without racing stripes and 98 Quick Silver GT's with racing stripes built in '05.

http://www.fordgtforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2628&highlight=production+numbers

I've also seen the total number of Quick Silver GT's listed as 156. 153 or 156, I couldn't tell you which is correct. All I can say is Quick Silver is the fastest color.:usa

Cheers,
Waldo

Waldo,
There were 156 2005 Silvers... 16 had no center or side stripes, 26 had side but no center stripes, and this particular car with side stripes only, mac, light weight wheels, and red calipers is one of five.

Yep, yep, and yep.

That's why if it is described, good history, and NEW, it is a bargain.

I have a sliver/black stripes car and this one (silver/no stripes) doesn't do it for me.

Also I think the "rarity" thing is a blown a bit out of proportions... they built fewer silver cars because less people ordered them. They didn't sit down and decided to make the silver a rare and collectable car.

Still at $152k its a very good deal.

"new" and "475 miles" is an oxymoron.

OK, let's get picky. I meant to say if it is on MSO so has full warranty.

Happy now?

Geez - like beng at home. You are right, and I am wrong (dear).

:biggrin :biggrin :biggrin :biggrin

And don't call me a moron, just cause I don't know what an oxy is. :cheers

Daniel,
Good to hear from you. I hope all is well in California. Life on the "tip of the spear" is busy. The squadron is currently in Japan. Feel free to follow our adventures at: http://www.usmc.mil/31stmeu/.

Looks like that drink will have to wait until January 2008 now. Our seven month deployment has just been extended to twelve months. I sure hope that Ford battery charger works.

Semper Fi and Best Regards,
Jason

Actually, the dealer sold it out from under the ebay buyer...I guess they were able to make a few more bucks, but not so good for their ebay feedback rating!

Unless it has been cloned, that car was at that dealership and on/off Ebay for nearly 2 years

Just ran an OASIS. The build date was September 2005. It was one of the cars that were produced after the $10,000 price increase. Not an early car.
