Borla has developed an electronic exhaust sound system that can be used on battery-powered vehicles like the Ford Mustang Mach-E sport utility vehicle.
It could be fun though. There will be aftermarket improvements to the speakers and sound tracks and then the fun begins. Top fuel Mach E to Escort without a muffler to chicka chicka pow pow to road speed.
Saw and heard this at SEMA it does sound real. I never realized the extent of the EV invasion but after seeing all the money being put into these vehicles it appears us old guys are going the way of the dinosaurs.
Possibly my least favorite thing auto manufacturers do is installing fake scoops and vents, but that may soon be superseded by fake exhaust noise generators.
