Makes sense, the strange part, is it pans opposite of what I would want, looking to the apex, vs track out. The stabilization may have more value that the strange panning.

That was a surprise to me as well. The camera is a GoPro hero 8 and it has a fixed mount, I believe what you're seeing is its image stabilization algorithm .

I assumed you had done that. I guess GoPro really stepped up from when I had my 4.
