Just an idea to throw out, does it have to be at a track? The French Licke Resort in Indiana was very nice, or how about the museum village in the dearborn area with dueseys and all the rest...
Its been 3 or 4 years of tracks....maybe something with the wives? girlfriend or both?
Just a thought.....gtjoey1314
What are you crazy!!??If it ever takes place in French Licke I will be there!
If having the race track experience is paramount then I'm not sure the Colorado high country would serve very well but if not, it is a spectacular place with some of the greatest driving roads out there....[/ATTACH]
There's a new road course east of Denver. See www.highplainsraceway.com 2.5 miles, 15 turns, and more elevation change than the old CDR. I hear it's a very challenging and safe track - but haven't run on it yet. Has anyone here run on High Plains? The downside for a rally is that it's an hour East of Denver, and the resort mountain towns are 1-2 hours West of Denver. Another local draw though is the Shelby museum in Boulder (shelbyamericancollection.org) and the McLaren museum (mathewscollection.com) near Denver .
Looks like CDR went the same way as Riverside. To bad the local governments and developers could not intergrade there use with there development plans.
I bet the revenue would be greater than the now half empty mall and office space out at Riverside.
Hmmm, post above sounds interesting about Highplains Raceway
