I have the full length GTX cat delete exhaust and love it.

:thumbsup An awesome set up. You can sneak away or blow the house down. But it will get you black flagged at tracks that have noise limits. FYI.

Moe, welcome! I am quite new here myself, having just picked up a 2006 red FGT last month. I am interested in some of the same mods as you, so I am glad you asked. Your car looks fantastic- congrats!

The Ford long tube headers and the Ford (Borla) "muffler" sound amazing.

Loud at WOT but ok to sneak out of noise sensitive neighborhoods.

Welcome!!

Welcome to the joyous addiction that GT ownership is! 6 years later and I'm still adding stuff to my car. Though I think '13 will see me finally complete the remainder of 'cosmetics'. Now if the Technocraft boys would just get back to me bout finally getting some of their CF goodies... CDC bumper delete ordered (phew that one took a long time to tick off the list!). :biggrin

BTW very cool colour you've got there. :thumbsup

I second that. I just installed the Ford Racing headers I've had hanging on the wall since 2006 and love them. I have the Ford Racing muffler as well. Truly a wonderful combo.

One word to the wise- the EGR tube fitting is a fine thread. For some reason, a course thread female fitting was welded on my headers. I don't know if this was an isolated mistake with my headers, but I would check this before you install them or have them coated.

I recall having an adapter on mine.

Yes-the adapter has a male thread on each end. The adapter is removed from the stock manifold and installed on the header if the EGR tube is retained. The adapter receiving nut on my FRPP headers was FUBAR from the factory. Must have been a late Friday build. They were only $2,800 so I guess I shouldn't complain. :lol

Thanks everyone for the support and kind words..I feel part of the community already.. :D

my goal is to hit 750 rwhp to 800rwhp..

I'm not sure I can do that with just bolts on..

so operation temperatures on the beast would be 200F without ac and 170F with ac..?

and is it me are the windscreen wipers a bit high..?

Most people take them off.Than color bottle caps to match their paint.Another alternative is do do a search and you will find that jchornre is making some really trick low profile wipers.

Cool cars. Cool color on the GT. Where in the world are you? And what's the embroidering say at the top of your seats?

Brakes and rotors - Stillen has them. Or Giro if you only need discs.

Anyway, welcome to the forum. In for more pics of your car.

the seats says GT 650 on them

so update on the what I want to do an any input would be nice

I decided that I want over 700 rwhp so by doing a little search the only way is for a whipple upgrade

now for suspension..has anyone done the 3 way Penske?

I usually upgrade to Motons but now that they are discountined and they changed to Motion Control and they have only made a couple of sets for the GT's

Lots of people have done the different Penske setups. A couple of the guys on the Ford GT development team were involved in the setup and tuning of the Penskes, so they are built for performance by the guys that know the car best.

I want something loud

I heard that the ford racing are the loudest if I'm not mistaken

You want the racing headers no matter what anyone tells you...

Very close to a documented running of a red light. Lucky there weren't any auto-matic red light camera there.
