Hey all!

Feeling like a major newbie right now. Changing wipers and it looks like the washer nozzle is attached to the inserts and doesn’t come off. What am I missing?

Also, are the low profile wiper arms still being made?

Thanks in advance!!

Just pull the tubing off and stick back on when the arms are replaced.

Anthony, you'll have to contact jcthorne. I don't know if he's even on the Forum any more, the last post I can find from him was in 2018, long after he sold his GT.

Take the wipers off !
Leave them in the trunk
Much better visibility
Plus the car looks better with out them

Any hardware store
They are the rubber pieces on the bottom of chairs!
Use your touch up paint to match your car!

Where do I purchase the inserts?

Napa, Oreilly, etc. See post below for part numbers. Google the Trico part number, see many vendors.

Recently went thru the research task of finding the blade inserts or refills. Mine were the narrow 6mm wiper blade x 24 inches long. Here are the part numbers for the refill which is the rubber blade and two stainless side rails. These will slide into the OEM blade assembly.

6mm Wide x 24 Inches
NAPA No: WIP 62401, or 6-2401, or 62401
NAPA does carry them, just bought two. About $7.50 each.

TRICO No: 45-245

Ditto Roketman.

Ford Tech showed me this trick when I first got car. Huge difference.

My wife made a nice set of red felt pouches to go with the red car, and wipers have been in frunk since then, except for once or twice being caught in a downpour. Rainex takes care of minor rain drops. The faster you go, the quicker they slide away!

I remember seeing someone offering two pieces to plug the hood openings where the wipers used to be. Have searched on the forum and on Google but can't find any reference to those pieces. Removed my wipers and would like to fill those two openings with body colored plates if available. Appreciate any information on finding where those plug plates can be sourced. TIA

Here’s a post I found, not sure if it’s what you’re looking for.

Yes, saw that post. Thank you.
I'm actually looking for something like the two yellow pieces in the attached image. I remember coming across a web site that had something like that for sale.

If you want to cover the splined shafts for the wiper arms, soda bottle caps work very well.
Paint to your desired color.
Best,
Mark
