Interesting to see adaptive cruise on a manual. That's not available on any stick shift car in the US. Do other Euro spec manual cars have that as an option? Does it disengage below a certain speed?
Now with a few hundred miles on the clock I can better describe the adaptive cruise and how it works
Cruise works in all taller gears - at least from 3rd and up.
Most interesting discovery is that while on cruise it will let you up and downshift and still keep cruise speed locked. In other cars any touch of brake or clutch will disengage the cruise - and you then have to reingage cruise.
In the Transit it works almost like a semi auto as you just shift without having to revmatch.
So unless traffic comes to a complete stop or walking speed I can actually just keep it set to 75 mph, let the adaptive cruise do its magic and help out shifting gear if speed changes too much
Really great system
