T&A Shocks LLC
Announcement of New Products
We are proud to announce that two new products are available for your Ford GT from T&A Shocks; a Single Adjustable and a Non-Adjustable Penske. Both products offer the same integral threaded spring perches for ride height adjustment that has become a T&A standard. In addition, they both have a new feature, no external accumulator (bump can) is required. This feature significantly simplifies the installation of these dampers on your vehicle because no fabrication work is required. In keeping with the tradition of our previous products, these units are repairable and rebuildable, unlike the factory original shocks.
T&A has incorporated the floating piston feature into the base of the shock eliminating the external remote reservoir that is required with the 2 and 3 way adjustable Penske shocks. This in-line floating piston (internal accumulator) design has several advantages and offers more choices for our customers, such as:
• Simplified installation; no need to remove the inner wheel house to snake the remote in to position or find a place to mount the reservoir.
• Flexibility in choice; it now becomes quick and easy to swap back and forth between a race set of springs and dampers and the factory original set up.
• Reduced cost; because of the simpler design with less parts we can offer the shock at a reduced cost verses the 2 and 3 way adjustable dampers. Combining this fact with the ease of installation opens up the possibility to purchase additional complete sets that are calibrated significantly different for example, a full race setup, a spirited driving setup, rain setup, etc.
Features of the Non-Adjustable units
This product was designed and developed for the customer that desires a high end shock but likes the way that the factory original set-up performs. The T&A units are priced just slightly higher than the factory originals, however as previously mentioned, they are completely rebuildable. Available only with the Non-Adjustable Shocks is another new feature - the ability to use the original upper shock isolator should the customer desire. If the customer is happy with the performance of his stock vehicle, then this is the last set of shocks that he will have to purchase.
Features of the Single Adjustable units
The center-point of the calibration for these shocks is the same as for the 2 and 3 way. The adjuster knob is the standard Penske red knob at the top of the unit. When the customer moves the knob through the entire range it has 35 unique positions; each position changes the compression and the rebound damping of the shock.
T&A Shocks LLC has been working on these new products for some time now and we are excited to say that we will be at the Rally in Las Vegas with examples of both designs. We look forward to meeting with you and discussing how we can help you extract even more performance out of your Ford GT.
