We are currently working with B&M right now to have the short throw shifters made for us however we are thinking of changing a couple of things on them.
First we are anodizing the blue part black. This doesn't really have anything but changing what it looks like cosmetically.
Second we are shortening the handle length. We are doing this as many are complaining of the length with a factory shift ball. This will eliminate anyone having to purchase a shiftball that has been modified to bring it down to a lower point. Not trying to step on Jay's toes however we feel the $449.99 price for the shifter is high enough without having to buy another $300 shift ball for it so you get the feel you want.
Another thing we were thinking about changing was the color of the shaft to be an hard anodized black. Looking for opinions on that as we are not 100% on that change as of yet. What do you guys think about that? Again this is cosmetic only but looking for opinions either way. Silver or black are our options.
B&M has told us that Ford Racing does not have any on order with them currently so unless they went to a new supplier to have them made, which I doubt they did, they will not be available from Ford Racing any longer. We still have the originals on order with Ford Racing currently however the 2/12/07 is an estimated due date and we all know what happened to the original due date when the shifters were b/o'd before. It kept getting bumped up to the next month and then the next month, etc.
We will have ours available in the middle of February and are compiling a list of orders currently so if you would like to get on it please let us know.
