The trick is to install a momentary switch on the dash for your jammer. When your detector pings, you hit the brakes quickly without causing a scene, when you’re safely under the speed limit, press the switch on the dash. The switch immediately kills the jammer, and the radar system then gets a read on you like it should. All this occurs in seconds. The cop will simply think he didn't get a good reading, especially as you get closer to him and everything looks fine on his system. You hold the switch down for a few miles until you are out of range, then let go and keep cruising. This is for under bumper/inside instrument cluster installations, which are always better because they don't see you scrambling to pull down you detector in case you get caught, and if you get caught, everything looks kosher. They're not going to know what the two tiny 1/8" LEDs are inside your instrument cluster are, or the 1/4" diameter black switch on the bottom of the dash where you can press it without changing you body position. If you spend a lot of time at very high speeds, rallys, etc., it's worth the extra expense to do it stealthy and right. It makes the process much less stressful, and that is always a good thing when you're moving quick and need to react calmly. More than a few guys have wrecked just after being detected.
