I have noticed that my high beam dash indicator only works about half the time. The high beams work fine. Any thoughts?

Loose connection??

When it fails to work can you tap on the gauge cluster and get it to come to life? This will not confirm a loose connection and yet it is well worth the try.

All the best

High beam

Check to make sure that the plastic steering column shroud isn't (holding the switch). Sometimes when you flip the high beams or flash to pass the relay will engage but the switch will get stuck and lot allow the indicator to work properly.

Went to dealer today to have the transaxle fix done. Also had them check the high beam indicator problem. It turns out that when I changed my gage panel over to carbon fiber, I must have stressed one of the solder conections on the warning light module. They were able to re-solder the connection and everything is fine. Just a couple of hours of labor. It is a good thing. You cannot order just the warning light module. You have to order the entire gage panel and all the gages -- cost is $2,600. Be careful, people.

On another note, I was able to see the new transaxle washer compared to the first Ford transaxle fix washer. The new one must be at least 2 times, and maybe 2.5 times thicker than the old one. It even looks thicker than the Accufab washer I still have at home.
