Looks good, but I wonder what the actual dimensions are?

Received the GTG mirror. Auto-dimming, digital compass, outside air temperature, dual map/interior lights, complete with harness and all required connectors. Awesome!

Is there an "auto pilot" on a FGT that I don't know about? Kuz it looks like a person's going to need one to use in conjunction with that "menu" button if a guy wants to keep his car on the road...:willy:willy:willy

Ralphie, I don't know how to respond but I found the Hercules mirror shown below which is so big it blocks the view of the road from the FGT unless you are 4.5 ft tall and can see under it...

In keeping with the spirit of mirrors I found one set shown mounted that increased drivers visibility. Frank tried this set up first in his quest to eliminate the blind spot but settled for the smaller stick on type found at Walgreens stocked next to the steering wheel wrap.......

I agree with you there - the interior lights are very important to me too.

I posted the Escort model 'cause it has 3 nice features - (1) the GPS Nav system, (2) the no-hands Bluetooth communication system, and (3) the means to add a rear camera that communicates wirelessly (2 channels available).

It's a shame they didn't put their radar detector in it too, as the rear view mirror is in the perfect position to detect laser (lidar) signals from both front and rear. (Of course, I obey all the laws of nature and man)

I also think it's good to know what the companies are developing, as in time, there sizes will shrink. It also will promote further development for added capabilities.

I can't believe it does not act as a detector. The product research guy's must have been asleep at the wheel. Add the lights and a detector and it would probably be a hot product.

Shadowman has a very nice dome light mod that looks OEM and works better than stock!

Perhaps they plan to sell them internationally? Detectors are illegal in many parts of the world....

Personally I like the lack of electronic gadgets in the standard GT... :wink

The GPS unit is by Navigon, not a name I'm familiar with.
