so where's the pic?

I hesitated to post my crummy photos (from my cell phone) from the event. Nonetheless here are a few that don't do it justice. The various car magazines have much better photographers on hand.

Ed - I agree it's no GT, but I prefer it quite a bit more to the Ferrari and Lambo crowd (not that they both don't make some nice rides). It just feels real purpose built and hopefully low enough production that at the inevitable resale one doesn't burn money as is often the case with Lambos and all but the newest F - cars.

As you know I have been following the car development closely. My order has been confirmed for Q4 2011. The first year will put 1000 cars on the roads wolrdwide. The USA will receive approx 300 cars. for 2012 model year...

It's been widely written McLaren plans this car to be their high volume road car. They are converting to a road car manufacturer to compete with Ferrari and Lamborghini. The MP 4 12c is just the start and will continue to be developed and produced in as many as they can sell. They also have a higher end car in the works to replace the old F-1. Ok Mitchell and Stewart. I'll be expecting a ride .... :biggrin

My buddy in New Orleans who is suppose to receive his this year got their official brochure. I tried to upload it but it is 4.6mb in size and it is too big. But on a different note I replaced my R8 V8 with this:

great looking car..drive it well.
I have an '08 V8- manual trans and have enjoyed the car very much. However, it will be sacrificed for my McLaren which is expected Q4 2011. I am in no hurry to sell but should anyone want a 2008 Black over grey extended leather V8 in "10" condition with 5k miles .. pls let me know.
