Rex, you left off the important 62 lb., two-piece steel driveshaft which the GT350 and R both have.
Seems like "low hanging fruit" to me but everyone seems tight lipped about why this system continues to be used in the two highest performance Mustangs...
Assuming it isn't an NVH related decision, you need to leave some low hanging fruit for the aftermarket. Also need to keep cost down and some margin in the car (leveraging existing driveshaft cost ).
I just hope Specracer doesn't read this, trying to keep the future "third pedal delete" option off of his radar screen.
I love a manual, however, I do wish they would offer it in dual clutch especially if it's a track car and will compete with Porsche, etc. Anyone think this will be an option during the production run??
Nice drive to Albuquerque today - window down, wind wing open, & a couple of jugs of ice water! Beautiful weather - a tad warm. Beer tasted good when I checked into lodging! '66 Mustang runs great at 80-85 - purrs (75 mph speed limit). Forget the AC!!
Just follow old Historic US 66 (the Mother Road) & you'll never get lost! Traveled it the 1st time with my brother in 1958 (in a 1955 Ford Customline)....
What about a real "from the factory" parts department version? I mean the GT350R is still pretty civilized compared to the full out race cage in the true race prepped cars.
