Just curious, has anyone on here been awarded a new GT without having previously owned an older one?

In the first round of allocations there were a number of GT’s allocated to folks not owning GT’s or being members of the Forum.

69% went to current or former GT owners. The people that did receive an allocation that were not Forum members we would know. Since know one here knows the entire list of allocations, your question is impossible to answer., New owners have become members. On the other hand, many owners and members here did not receive an allocation.

First you answer the question and then you said it's impossible to answer. I'm confused.

Just over 30% of the original pool was non-GT owners. The categories on the application make it clear what the other criteria are (Ford customer, Fleet Customer, Ford Supplier, Ford Strategic Partner, Ford-affiliated Charities, Collectors, Public Opinion Influencer, Motorsport, etc).

Sorry Jim, but I was trying to point out that there weren't really any members here that did not have an 05-06 GT.

We have an 05, plus many other Ford Products from (2) F550's to 8 Work Vans (New Transits) and 5 smaller Connects,
along with a few other products. Maybe if another allotment is given we can fill out an application.

Awesome! Same for me. No GT, but a 2018 F250, 2017 Mustang GT, 2016 Shelby GT350, 2010 Shelby GT500, 2006 Saleen S281SC. All still in my possession. Hopefully that will be enough to convince them that I love Ford

I had an application for the first and the second allocation. I'm happy for all the Forum members that were granted a new GT and
I'm still hopeful I'll make the cut for the second allocation. As far as Ford vehicles I own 2- '05 GT's, Hall super Pantera, '69- 428 Mach 1, '66-GT350, '66 & 67 mustang GT, 2013- GT500, 2-'00 F150 lightning, with 7-E350, 1-F350, 2-F250, 4-150 in my Ford fleet vehicles. As many of you, I thought I had met most of the criteria, I know the Ford Team has numerous applications to process and there will be a lot of disappointed Blue Oval fans...

Another allocation question out of curiosity.

While obviously all Forum members who received an allocation did not go to Le Mans 2016, did all Forum members who actually went to Le Mans 2016 receive an allocation?

It's a '74 with pre L bumpers theme car named root beer, built by Gary Hall in '83 I believe. Low stance, gorgeous lines, carbureted and a gated shifter, I love it. I've owned it for about 25 years, although I haven' t driven it regularly for about 5 years. It still looks and sounds great. It was featured in Panteras for the Road Magazine prior to my purchase. What year of Pantera do you own and has it been modified or still remain original?

73 mostly stock with 17" Campy clones. Bought it when I lived in San Diego 33 years ago. Drove it from SD to Florida in 36 hours 15 minutes solo. Love the visceral/simple brute.Simon and Tom at VIR.jpg
