My beloved 2003 Ford Lightning name is being resurrected for the new Ford electric truck. Just saw a commercial on this new Ford Lightning truck. Mustang Mach E, Ford Lightning and whats next GT-E?

I suppose the name Lightning makes good sense for an electric vehicle.

Having no interest in electric vehicles, that's the only positive thing I can think of to say. (pun intended)

I’m not a cheerleader for electric vehicles, but my local dealer had a Mustang Mach-E available for a test drive, so I gave it a go. It was quite good.

If people manage to like a supercar with a V6 and turbos I am quite sure they manage to try out a new technology.

I always find v6 turbo comments kinda funny.
No one ever criticized Porsche for 6 cylinder turbo cars!
My wife’s new Macan is a 4 cylinder turbo that’s faster than my 1987 911!

That 2.5 Porsche engine has a awesome note to it.

Wonder what the range is with 1000 lbs. in the back while pulling a 5000 lb boat?

This. If it has good specs, and Ford gets it right, I'll probably get one.

Since the recent shortages have interfered with me ordering a diesel F-150, I may hold out a few more months and consider this instead. But towing range will be a big consideration, since the recharge time is pretty long.

Wow OK I was closed minded! I've now read some on the Lightning and watched several videos, and a lot of it sounds pretty cool!

And man it's fasssst!

The charge time concerns me. Prob wouldn't be a problem for me, around town ... but would I hesitate to head out on the highway?
