Love the white one! The silver one looks like a ricer body kit

Wouldn't call it "ricer"....
It's a wide body, same body as the matech race car. Funny thing is, that's YOUR old car.

Doh! Okay I take that back lol. Maybe its the rear wheels and not the body? Just doesn't fill the wheel well properly. Looks different than the Matech car. Since that is my old car please correct its appearance asap :) When will see it ripping around the track?

I didn't see a hint of ricer, but I guess it's in the eye of the beholder. Both cars look stunning in person. The GT1-S has some gap/finish issues at the clamshell/rear clip, but I'm sure that will be resolved. Getting the race car panel molds to a production car level of fit and finish must have been huge undertaking. The paint and color combo is brilliant.

I can't imagine it as a street car...it looks 1 1/2 lanes wide! lol. It's actually 12" wider than stock I believe. Loading my car on the transporter with inches to spare made me wonder if the GT1-S would even fit on the truck.

P.S. To me, the dished rear wheels on the GT1-S give the impression of the wheel wells not being filled out enough. The Matech wheels (in the article) give a fuller look. It may also be a result of needing more ground clearance...somewhat bigger gap between tire and wheel well?

Does anyone know how the car would be registered? Is it just a ford gt registration. How about price range? Has that been disclosed

Thanks for posting up the link Ron.

This car is as close as you can get to the Matech car for the street. The parts on this car were made from the molds from the Matech race team and then modified to fit onto a production car. After all of the parts were modified we made new molds for all of these parts. The front fenders had to be reshaped to allow 19" and 20" wheels and tires since the race car had the same size tires front and back.

The Red one with the full Shadowman treatment? :eek

Used to be, but not anymore.

The HRE rims that are on the car now are our "temporary" set as the custom ones weren't done in time for the show. The real ones will look more like what is on the Matech car.

Thank you. All fitment issues are being investigated to see how we can improve. It is wide, around 4" more on each side in the front. Everyone knows how wide a production car is at outside mirrors. This car is the same width at the front and rear fenders as it is at the mirrors (which are still production mirrors). We are also in the process of having a custom 24' trailer built to accomodate this cars. It it going to have rampovers and a custom ramp on the rear door. It was shipped from MI to LA in a normal 6 car tractor trailer transport. It took a little work and extra sets of eyes to get it in and but we did it without hurting the car.

It will be titled as a normal 2005/6 Ford GT. Hofman Motorsports and The GT Guy LLC is currently working pricing.
