I own a 2012 Fisker Karma, and was an original investor. Some of you may have seen it at Mark McGowen’s Home a couple year back. I love it, but am currently running into some software glitches. I may pre-order the new car, but worry about Henrick’s ability to run his new company....Just sayin’

I looked at Fisker's back in '12. The weekend I test drove one, 2 cars caught on fire in the US. I opted for an early Tesla P85. Have had it 5 years. My car is an early VIN. I've had some glitches including a broken gearbox shaft requiring a new power unit. No parking assist, lane divergence tech, etc. My car doesn't have the hardware to upgrade to current features. It's like owning an iPhone 3 compared to the what's now being offered (the verge of level 5 autonomy). Tech is turning over so fast including energy density in batteries. I worry about Tesla's business model and lack of profitability. For now I'll drive my P85 as it still has a service plan and 3 more years of warranty (8 total). I'm on the list for a Porsche Mission E. Looking to buy from a company that actually makes money

Henry Fisker is clearly a great designer. Not the best track record for bringing his killer-looking products to market with the quality and reliability that this increasingly sophisticated marketplace expects/demands. Anyone who think that this start-up or any other one can have a car ready for purchase in the short timeframe that he has suggested (2019), is crazy!
