I bought two sets from Carreraslots.com in Minnesota. Even with shipping it was $168 a set. Look at Scalextric cars too. They have some nice Gts. Thanks John. Now the wife knows what to get me.

Merry Christmas everyone! I put this kit together today. Excellent quality. The scale is big, which I like. Detail on the #68 is awesome including names of drivers' above door. Tip: Outside line is quicker...if you are racing and have lane choice 
Track is not set up for FGT's aero. Tight and technical with lots of Armco. Need to add some more segments for long straights.
Doubt the Mrs will allow long term placement in living room :lol Will fix to a big ply board and put in garage.

The instructions were a little vague on the guard rail. Did you use all the rail mounts?

Had a few left over. I used the pic on the box to configure things. 3 rail mounts for each curved section.

FYI. These cars are great and super fast. I have 3 young grandsons and they didn’t understand featnering the throttle so I took my Dremel and made two 3/8” spacers that locked under the control button, problem solved. They could run wide open and they stayed on the track. Pop them off and the rest of us could let them run. Top quality set and loads of fun.

I’ve already ordered the lap counter and timing tower. Plus 2 more cars...another FGT and a 917 Porsche. I’m falling down a deep rabbit hole! Building a world class FIA certified track will not be cheap. Looking for investors.

Ok, all this talk has made me want to get one! Shows available on Ebay and Amazon. Will find some room in the garage for it. Would love to have a nice big track set up in there. Back in the day my dad used to take my brother and I slot car racing in Birmingham, MI at a hobby shop. Loads of fun. Not sure if the youth of today would think so but I guess I will find out!

That is...awesome! Did you price that out? I've got a big analog set (LeMans racers, I think), and the new sets are maybe half the size, at best! Do they sell the full package. If we could free ride...er...benefit from your work and preparation, we could probably get a group buy going!
