A pulley, tune, exhaust, pump gas X1 ran a 6.6.

It dynos just over 600 but runs like it has a Whipple because the rears are 345/30 PS2's. :cheers

Very nice! I'm assuming that was with only one shift?

Yes, one shift. I short shifted from 2nd at about 6300, forgetting the redline is 7000. 7000 in 3rd is 131 for this car. Have since changed to colder plugs and think it will be able to do 1 or 2 ticks better on the next run at an airstrip on the 20th. :cheers

PS Jason, the pulley and exhaust is yours.

Naw, just want to see how low a non-Whipple, non-TT can do 60-130. After finding a best pump gas time, I'll test with the 100 octane tune :cheers

Kirby, could you also inform us what the ambient temp was outside when you ran.

Can you send me that file? Want to see what the decline was. That's extremely fast for the mods.

I was impressed too. The best I could get with a pulley was 7.2

Rick - It was shortly after daybreak, probably about 70. :cheers

I'll do that after the next run. The 6.6 run was the morning after I received the Box. I didn't have the card in it. I'm certain it was not the best run the car can do, although I was surprised because the night before my SL600 ran 10.6 and I would not have expected so large a difference. 131 mph at 7000 rpm in 3rd indicates the significance of 345/30 tires. :cheers

does seem kinda fast. Best I did at 90 degree temp and 609 whp was 7.4 seconds on 345/30 tires.

What would be a typical time for a stock GT?

Our cars seem to have pretty similar mods. If you did 7.4 with 1 shift, you should consider finding some cooler air and chopping the top off that thing. :lol :cheers

Soroush said he did a 9.3 bone stock. :cheers

I don't doubt that you pulled the time that you did, I'd just like to see the file next time to see the decline. My guess is that it's at least 3% just because when I did 7.10 the shift time was under .20 seconds and there was no detectable wheelspin on a cool day on a dead level road. That's the fastest I've ever seen anyone go 60-130 with a p/t/e until now, and the gap is pretty massive. It's going to be very hard to shift faster than .20 by more than maybe .01-.02 seconds. Or maybe it's the missing roof :biggrin

Dave, I've done many runs and 6.6 was the fastest, but that was not close to a perfect run. The 1st runs were 6.8 with 2 shifts. A friend thought I could reach 130 in 3rd so I ran it to redline and it did 131. My first 1-shift run was 6.6. My runs since then have had little issues. It misfired on a couple and I had the plugs replaced. On the best start and shift I've ever done, it bogged in 3rd. One time I started at 58 or 59 mph. I think the worst time for a finished "problem" run was 7.2 or 7.3. SKGT has a whipple with 100+ more HP on the same dyno and his car is barely faster than mine on side by side gear pulls. I fully expect to do better than 6.6. We're using an airstrip on the 20th, but I may be able to do something before. At any rate, I'll get the file to you after it occurs. :cheers

He is effectively going from the stock 3.30 gear to a ~3.65 gear. I'm sure that will have a pretty big impact, just don't know how much.

I know that one GT TT that did 220 in the mile did 60-130 in 4.55 on that same run

ya Ray's car at the C&D shootout is the fastest time I've seen.

most times ive seen on the street seem to be in the low 5s. i believe Dave ran a 5.4 on his 900rwhp setting with bald tires on a slightly warm day.
