It's a small needle bearing that is pressed inside the end of the crank, and I can't find it in the parts catalouge PDF.
Anybody??

Thanks

It's called a "Pilot" bearing.

Time to have my motor put back together and mount the stuff from the box that says Heffner on it...

Did you have damage on your crank from the Whipple?

The pilot bearing is one the other end of the crank, the blower shouldn't causes it failure.

My crank and damper failed because the keyway didn't hold up, and I suspect that my Whipple could have played a part...
I wanted to use a new pilot bearing in my new crank instead of pressing out the old one...

Going with a stock crank, stock crank with dual keyways, or something else?

Stock crank unmodified - but I'll mount TT's w/o supercharger, so not having to drive the SC the keyway should hold up just fine...

How many miles and what rwhp? Want to know cause I have the Gen 2 Whipple with 10 thousand miles. Don't want anything happening to my baby. Also, any road racing?

Gen 2 Whipple - loads of boost, 7K rev limit (testet quite often) and driven like I stole it...
I've done many track days, so the 5K miles the car has done, have not been the nicest kind :ack
