I am in need of the video that was produced awhile back of the Wixom Plant producing the Ford GT. Does anyone have one that they would sell or just loan to me for a couple of days? There was also a video called "The Work Horse" it was a time lapes video showing the GT being built. I would apprecaite any help locating it as well. I found them on Youtube but I can't figure out how to get a copy. Please let me know if you can help.
Thank you
Dan Hardiman

Was there such a video??

I made up the video of the Wixom line build. I also made a DVD with hundreds of pictures from the GT program, the 2 TV ads on the GT, as well as a short movie only shown at the 2005 Detroit auto show. A real neat movie that has a GT, a Mustang GT, and the 2 seat Cobra concept car racing around the streets of Long Beach.

I sold all I had made, but was planning to make more for the B-J dinner. Unfortunately, a computer crash prevented that. I'm in the process of getting back up to speed, so with any luck, I'll start burning more soon.

:thumbsup:thumbsup

Have a Hi-Performance Day

I would also be interested in such a DVD. Ed

Your right Enzo. Some of the pictures used in that story were from the DVD we put together for the year book. If you go to the Maguiers web page, and look for their video section, You can find the "Car Crazy" shows they did on the GT. I was the one Barry interviewed at Wixom. I got my 15 minutes of TV fame.

I hope to have the DVDs ready shortly. I'm re editing one of them. Once I get everything set up, I'll let everyone know how to order them.

I would like one too.

Me too!

If you were the one to produce the "Trilogy" which Ford played at the North America Auto Show, my hat is off to you! I was just mesormized by this unbelieveable film. They played it roughly every hour to start off the presentation discussions about the three platinum colored cars on display (FGT, Mustang and Cobra). The crowd in and around the Ford display area just stopped everything as the film played on the huge screens and the music blared to all. Remember the new Mustang body style was not yet out in any numbers and having the two cars dice with eachother pepered with the Futuristic Cobra was awesome.
I got my own VHS copy from Ford PR but would be interested in your new remastered version as well when complete. For those who missed, I believe the links below have the clips the Forum members are wanting...
Thanks for really getting the juices flowing!!!

Indy,

I wish I could take credit for that film. It really is great. I think half of Cobo Hall watched when it came on.

When we were putting the year book together, we were given that film, the 2 Super Bowl ads, and the making of the super bowl ads. I just compiled all the films and hundreds of pictures on the DVDs. If I can work it out, I may even put an "Easter Egg" on the DVD.

I'd love a copy too, and am happy to contribute as needed to your costs

Ditto, thanks.

How long is the video? Any segments showing the GT's being painted? If so I'd love a copy as well.

Count me in please!

Jason,

The first DVD has the 2 Super bowl ads, the making of the super bowl ads, the GT trilogy video, and a LOT of insider pictures from the GT program. (some from the Saleen paint shop)

The second DVD has the Wixom line build video (in fast motion) and a slide show. Many of the pictures on the second DVD are the same as on the first DVD, so I might try and consolidate everything into one DVD. I'm just a novice at this, so it took, and is taking a lot of hours to get everything together. (and lots of wasted dvds)

If I ever figured out what I've spent, just in man hours to do these DVDs, I'd admit myself to a nut house. But it really is a labor of love. I'd like every GT owner to share at least a small part of what I experienced on the GT program.
Truly, the ride of a lifetime.:cheers

A labor of Love is right. I spent a couple days on something similar for work, but in the end it was very rewarding. It does not seam that you could spend 12 hours for just 12 mins of vid. But, way more fun than two typical days at work.

I would love a copy when you get around to it.

Thanks for your contributions.
