so you went 220 mph with no nitrous and just a whipple :eek congratulations that is a new world record for a whipple only :cheers

your exhaust sounds awesome :cool what kind of headers and cat back are your running? i assume you have no cats either?

freddy that run on the vid was with no nos, my friend made the video and he posted the top speed of the day on that video,
however on that run I went 209 which I believe is still the fasted any whipple car has gone, however my car is not just a whipple car, the motor has cams with more duration and higher lift, and the heads have been ported, and the rpm reset to 7200. custom piston and all new internal sans rods and crank wrap up the package, so its not a fair comparison to a stock ford gt on whipple. just goes to show the motor is capable of a whole lot more obviously look what ray and pp guys did!

the 221 run was on nitrous but very low bottle pressure, my soleniods were sticking everytime we tried raising the bottle pressure( chinese soleniods:lol)

I will replace the defective parts, by the next mile and hopefully add meth system, a bit more fuel to the mix and a bigger shot of nitrous, my motor should hold 1400hp but thats the upper range I will probably not push it past 1200.

^^^^^^ no matter how you slice it you still have the Whipple only record. internal motor mods are not considered to be a "power adder"

209 mph is the world record for a whipple only and you own it

you also own the world record for a whipple + nitrous which would be considered 2 power adders.

a TT blowin through the stock supercharger would also be considered 2 power adders.

personally, considering that your whipple powered car has less potential than TT GT's i am the most impressed with your car even though it is slower than most all of the TT cars :usa

anybody can go fast with TT's. all it takes is $$$. only 3 guys have busted 200+ mph in the mile with a Whipple and you are the fastest of the 3 :thumbsup

A Whipple may have less potential in events such as the standing mile, but NOS is only limited by the risk one is willing to take. Anyone going to try a 300HP shot?

I would have to disagree with you on that one! have you seen this vid? enjoy! those are two tt gts (kumar, and mullet) that are next to me, problematic solenoids and low bottle pressure too, with more consistant soleniods and better pressure it wouldnt even be close:wink

no risk, you can tune for it just like you tune for boost on the dyno and set you r parameters on the safe side, at this power level any set up will have risks.
