Thanks. Most searches for former cars don't have a happy ending and I am very fortunate. There is much more to the story that is too convoluted to get into here - lots of rabbit holes to get side-tracked on. But some of that would only be interesting to E-Type aficionados. I regretted selling the car from the moment it drove away, and until I found the car in 2006 I told people it was the dumbest thing I'd ever done. In retrospect, it was the best thing I could have done because it set in motion events that were far more interesting and enjoyable to Jeff & me and to Christoph & his family (some of the nicest people you could ever meet!), than if I'd kept the car.
