Personally, when Ray did the 0-200-0 article for the car magazine, he distributed signed posters FOR FREE. I think Roketman should be just as magnanimous.
Trent,
Your kindness and generosity over the years is amazing! From the rally posters to the rally numbers you are the man!
Once again thank you my friend! Drinks on me at the rally!
I eagerly await the package!
Leave it alone - the original had good characteristics. Even at this low resolution trying to bring up shadow details is increasing digital noise to the rest of the photo. It's the lack of those details that makes the picture "right"...
Sorry if I confused anyone. The two pix above are the same image. I placed it on a light table to show the detail in the print. There is no digital noise from what I did and you don't see those details unless you backlight it.
Last week I was driving home after having dinner with Ralphie. Who was in town for our 25th Annual Vintage races.
This photo was taken about 9 P.M. on 7/7 with Mt. Rainier in the background. And is not retouched. The Pacific NW is beautiful at this time of the year.
If I had a better camera a photo from this spot, about 8 miles from home, would show Mt. Baker (80 miles North) Mt. Rainier (60 miles S.E.) and Mt. St. Helen's (100 miles S.). What is unusual is the nearly total absence of man made structures from this vantage point. Other than a power pole and some development stakes that is!
