A friend of mine sent this to me, and suggested that I order a couple dozen of these for all my cars. This organization is dedicated to moving slow drivers out the left passing lane. Ingenious!! Check out this site at http://www.leftlanedrivers.org/:cheers

If you delete the "forward slash cheers" from the end of the linked address it works.

That would be perfect for Florida. The only problem is that once they get in the right lane then they will make a left hand turn from the right lane and cross 2 lanes of traffic.

stormcat, here is the corrected link for the lazy people. http://www.leftlanedrivers.org

...Soooooo, just how many rounds (or at least vertical digits) do you 'figger' the average car sporting one of these would draw anyway? :shrug :lol

Stefano,
It's less of a car thing than a commentary on the U.S's piss poor driving etiquette. People will go 10 under the speed limit in the left, pass on the right, go 20 over in the far right...the left lane should be for PASSING, not cruising! I run into more drivers than I can count who would rather die than get over to have faster traffic pass. It's like a test of wills that makes traffic untenable...

Around HERE, the only way to pass is on the right. There are a couple main drags around here where one can see for 1/2 a mile ahead, and at any given time there won't be but maybe 1 or 2 cars in the right lane as far as the eye can see...EVERYBODY else is in the left lane. It's just unbelieveable... What REALLY jacks my jaws is when someone gets an opening and tries to pass one of these left lane Lenny's - THEY'LL SPEED UP EVERYTIME and try to block the pass. (THAT'S when it's just a joy to be driving a GT!)

WOW!! I thought that this problem was ONLY in Canada. Every time I have been to the US I have found the drivers to be quite accomodating on this isssue. Guys if you say it is as bad as it is then DO NOT come to Canada because it is at least 10x worse here!!

(My wife's Canadian. Obviously then, my in-laws are too. Therefore, we get to deal with the situation you depict regularly! :ack )

Those left lane drivers are everywhere, typically they don't know what to do....... Nothing like running up on them and a flash of the lights :cheers

You'd have work to convince me they "don't know what to do" simply because there are such overwhelming numbers of them. There CAN'T be that many stupid people on the road. Odds are it's more a case of, "I don't CARE if I'm hogging the passing lane. I'm doing it on purpose. I revel in the fact that it ticks you off. What are YOU gunna do about it?"

But, maybe it's just me who has that opinion...

Utah just passed a new law that requires anyone in the left lane to move over when faster traffic pulls up behind them regardless of speed or speed limits. The Highway patrol Captain interviewed on the local news said it is a safety measure and would be aggressively enforced.

It's about bloody time SOMEBODY started that ball rolling. What GOOD it'll do remains to be seen. If memory serves, EVERY state has a law that says "keep right except to pass (or turn left)". And what good has THAT one done?
