Nice shots, but not particularly digging the car as a convertible.

I agree with DBK.

Did anyone read Brian Johnson's take on the car in Autoweek?

Not that being the frontman for AC/DC makes him an absolute authority but he was not overly impressed. To paraphrase "as technically awesome as the car is, it just lacks the magic".

As much as the McLaren F-1 stole the show, this one is a bit too, too, I don't know, bland?

Just my 2 cents

Nice shots, but not particularly digging the car as a convertible.

Personally, I like my supercars as hard tops.
If looking for a nice convertible, I'd look more at some of the grand touring cars like BMW M6 or Big Mercedes or Big Mustang.

Haven't seen "The One" spot in a few years...

Where are my keys, I want to go for a drive!

I dig it! With all respect for the purists who do not like convertible or roadster versions of iconic cars, every marque has a following of buyers who will only step up if the car is offered in a drop top version. Although I'll probably never own a McLaren, if I do, it will be the Spider. It's not as sexy as a GTX1 but very well engineered.

I prefer the supercars as well with a fixed roof but the joy of open top and exhaust sounds. I was considering a Mclaren as well, when I saw the spider I was almost ...sold. I need to agree it's a well engineered car but somehow it misses something. It's fast but it misses driving pleasure. I'd rather consider a carrera GT which is a prooven Iconic car.
