Yeah that Carlsbad C&C has a looong way to go =\

Anywho...
The most remarkable part of our little excursion from SD to Irvine was our fuel economy...

With a whipple, 19 psi pulley, 100 octane tune, we got:

20 MPG!

I was really really surprised.

The party is over by 7:45am?

Sheesh, I could never make it. On Saturday the only thing I do at 7:45 am is hit the snooze again. :biggrin

I rarely set my alarm clock, maybe 10 times a year.

I have at seen 100 times more sunsets than sunrises.

Just got back. Great seeing everyone. I took a lot of pictures but here are the two that I'd like to share.

Whoa. That black GT finish is amazing! :thumbsup

You might need to clean your camera lens.

j/k. Hope you had a great time. Sorry I missed it. I did get to see some other fun cars yesterday.

This coming Saturday is the unveiling of the latest McLaren supercar. I will be in our dry carbon fiber GT-R.

Nice! I had a 1984 MKI GTI.

Maybe I'll bring out my DINAN S2 Cooper S.

I ended up going to the Irvine C&C anyway (the carlsbad one was pretty lame...)

I was parked at the back.

I did get to chat with Don from Hennessy. Awesome guy. I only saw his GT 1000, and another tungsten GT (license plate: IM A GT). Then again, we did get there kind of late... at 8 am.

Did you guys mean the now Woodland Hills Supercar Sunday? If so, only the last Sunday of the month has good showings, you can and should skip the other Sundays.

I have since raised it... It got annoying not being able to turn the steering wheel the whole way (even with flared front fenders).

I've currently got embarrassing levels of ride height. But I don't want to bottom out during auto cross or street driving. Are those outdoor photos processed in HDR? Love those VW Wheels. And the four door GTI, so nice. I'm wishing I had four doors on my MINI now. (But I don't want a Clubman or anything)

Here's a cross processed image (non-HDR)

Thanks!

I hear the Minis are ridiculous around an autocross track. I've wanted to get in to the autocross scene (first one coming up april 10th), and now I have wheel gap! Just a little though... no rubbing whatsoever.

Sweet picture! What mods do you have?

Yeah those are all HDR...

I didn't get to spend a whole lot of time on those shots. I spent a little more time on this one.

It's definitely a lot of fun around an autocross track. I've done two events. Won the first event, and then lost the second event by 12 hundreths of a second. Next time maybe I'll take my rear seats, mats, jack, etc. out like a lot of other people. Saw a Corvette taking his door windows out, and an austin healy was jumping and running without a battery.

I'm going to miss Cars and Coffee this saturday. Have fun if you go!
