September 5, 2015 is on a Saturday.
Is the gathering on Saturday or Sunday ( 6th) ?
What time do cars start arriving, and are there any restrictions?

8am-10am; arriving 7:30

Starbucks / Vintage Grocers on site with tables and bfast hot bar/full deli if you want lunch or picnic after. Major surf shop too.

Informal rules, no restriction; bring something interesting

Organizers trying not to post on social media to keep manageable.

I see Bruce Meyer in one photo...what did he drive?
Hope to make the Sept. 6 turnout.

Looks like (4) of us are planning to be there this Sunday (9/6) with our FGTs with (2) more tentative. It's the long Labor Day Holiday weekend and a lot of guys are out of town or have made other plans already.
 
Rumor event CANCELLED for this Sunday (?)

Rumor going around that this event has been CANCELLED (?) for this Sunday(9/6).
Trying to verify.
Any body have any info?

It's Still On

Phil contacted the organizer this morning and this event is still on for this Sunday.
Apparently (?) some confusion with the Malibu Car Show that's a separate event.
Organizer said he'd save an area for (7) FGTs for those that wish to park together, but must be there by NLT 7:30am .
Bob & I plan to be there with our FGTs earlier to stake out our territory.

That's quite an interesting color on the 275 GTB. It takes a lot of stones, (or just having a lot of $$) to take that F car to a local show these days. Even if it was a pretty tired example (and I'm not saying it is), 275s are, what, north of $2MM?

Yeah this show gets a lot of investment grade metal. I just hope the freebie lookers don't kill it. Yesterday there had to be 3 of those 2 seat wide strollers being pushed between these cars!

The 275 had dealer plates; it's a famous color, I think cinnamon metallic. Was immaculate;
Had the 8 correct rubber hinged hangers on tailpipes.

The price range on 60s F cars is pretty wide; if it's the exact right car (Long nose, GTB/4, torque tube in Rosso, Giallo, Nero with Classiche) then yes $2MM; if not or issues could be lot less. Those Gooding or Monterrey prices are tip top, not median. mMichael Sheehan of Sports Car market has great commentary on reality of prices.

Great to see all of the cars out on the road attending these types of events... Does Jay attend often?
 
He seems to show every other month; I think he hits Super Car Sunday at Woodland Hills; C&C at Malibu Bluffs and the half dozen local shows...

Speaking of which, any one going to Greystone Mansion Concours on 5/1; same day as next C&C Malibu (Trancas)
