Hi - It just sunk in that I have had my Ford GT for 20 years now and it has never once given me any issue. Over the years ( early on ) I did a few mods which include Ford Performace pulley kit, Ford Performance Diff Cooler, X-Pipe muffler delete and general maintenance.
THere is are no issues, I just want to do some general preventative maintenance - Can any recommend where I can get a replacement pully belt ( I think its the stock one if I have the Ford Performance pully kit), hoses, and other recommended parts that should be replaced.. Thanks for any input

Start with ford but call Tasca part if you don't have part numbers. oil filter belt is now from gates(?) Not ford. main serpentine is still ford.. oil filter ford but if not Ithere is an equivalent from i think bmw...

I send my car out to the GT garage every 5 years for a full going over and service.
Never disappointed

This might help. You can see the part number trend. The 10 means 10 rib, 6 means 6 rib. The last four numbers are inches 0884 = 88.4.

Fuel filters are back in stock, picked one up yesterday.

They are a little bit different, you can feel a little extra weight (I will weigh them) and as Scott Minch pointed out, the retainer rib is a little closer to the filter canister. Making it tougher to install.

Edit: the retaining rib is 3.2mm closer to the body of the canister on the new unit I received.

Ok. I weighed them. The new filter is 20 grams heavier.

I am not sure what that means, more media? Heavier gauge steel? IDK.

In the pictures I have circled the retainer rib that is closer to the body of the canister and, according to Scott, harder to install (he didn't say impossible, just harder).

Install is a snap, literally. Removing them will definitely be tougher with the rib closer!

From my experience, by far the toughest job in a major service is getting that frigging fuel filter out!

Where? I tried one of the bigger Ford parts guys on the internet and they said "not available"?

Thanks, I THINK the order is being processed. Had to demonstrate current registration.

I just bought two of them at my regular Ford dealer. Not cheap.

I typically cut a tool down to fit in there to release them. Bigger questions is how is a person going to get the safety retainer out being they are already hard to get out with stock length.... It will just about be impossible IMO..
