Gents - I'm out at a friend's without access to my service/owner's manual.
Can someone kindly tell me correct torque for lug nuts - I can't recall if 100 or 110 ft/lbs?

Thanks !

Wellllll, there's still some controversy over the actual number. The 2005 Service Manual says 111, but the GT Guys say it's wrong and do them at 100.

I think the key thing to to check and re-torque after right after a spirited run anytime the lug nuts are removed and re-installed. I use 100 ft-lbs and haven't had any problems after re-torquing, but a few nuts always turn a little, some maybe a 1/4 turn. If you go for the 110, maybe the recheck won't be needed. I always feel better when I recheck them.

I agree with Dr. Frank and the GT Guys 100 is the magic number!

Wanted to bring this thread up again since many will need to check their lug nut torque. I will have tools in my car if anyone needs them.

FWIW, most if not all quality Torque wrenches are factory calibrated to +/-3% of set torque values.

Owners Manual says 100 ft lbs. Just checked mine yesterday with my new 'clicker' torque wrench.

Changed to my standard wheels, basically new tires, and torqued to 100.

Why does time fly?

I saw the ford gt from supercars.net when I was in highschool. Took me 17 years.

What would you tell yourself to do more in mid 30s?

I like that saying. I like this one too: Life has an expiration date, and you don't know when that is.
