Send it to me, I like pain! I've never done one but I've been in the trans industry for 40 years. If I can get parts, I can fix it. Bearings and seals shouldn't be too bad. Gears, shafts, rings, etc. will be tougher but I think rings were in the works. I do have ways to repair some things, but it depends on how much $$$ to do so and if it's worth it.

53 available! Wow, I would have thought far fewer. Anyway, good to know they are still in the supply system.
From having checked a few years ago, I know that internal parts are not available from Ford or Ricardo. There is a shop in Texas that was making synchros and some other parts, but only to order. See:

Rob, it may or may not be a good business proposition, but you would be THE MAN for these trannies if you can get parts made or substituted.
