Does anyone have a contact of where a set of black lugs for the GT can be found? I just got a set of rims that are flat black but need a set of lugs to go with them. If anyone has a good lead or idea of where I can find such a piece I would greatly appreciate the help.

Thanks,

Mark H.

Derry on the forum has hooked us up. That is where I got my black set.

stock or Derry's bolts won't always fit aftermarket wheels. Mine didn't.

I need them for stock upgraded wheels. Hoy can I get in contact with Derry?

You can buy an Eastwood home based powder-coating system and do your own. Or look-up any local powder-coating shop. Make sure the threads remain paint-free.

Gorilla nuts...they don't flake/chip and are designed to fit aftermarket wheels. They're very slim and come with a special thin-walled socket designed to fit the smallest diameter holes. They fit my ADV.1 wheels and the stockers were much tighter in the hole. I have them on all my cars/trucks etc...

I have the mat black finish...steel nuts.

can you give me the exact part number from Gorilla? Looks like I have the chrome ones but could also use some black ones.

Yes, I used a 41187BCB 1/2" Acorn Bulge. They are a semi-mat black finish. You don't need a special socket for them either...just a standard deep socket. The standard socket has plenty of clearance on all of my aftermarket (Forgeline / ADV1) wheels. These are exactly what's on my Z06 and Viper as well...

The thin walled socket I have, is for the lug nuts that I used for my 2500HD...with a standard tuner pattern, also Gorila.

Hi Mark,
I apologize for the delay, I have been out of town. The standard McGard bulge seat hex black nut P/N for a pack of 4 nuts is 64029. Gorilla is our best quality Aftermarket competition although they do not pass our corrosion and pull test standards.

Speaking of which - TQ spec - would that be 111 ft-lbs for the GT?

That's the spec in the Service Manual - however, most have agreed that 100 is a better number to use.

Sorry to be such a pain on this - but the 100 is based on what exactly? Have there been any issues using the higher number?

The 100 is based on info from Rally I in Detroit and the GT Guys. The 111 in the manual is a typo.

Derry - Thanks again for the lugs.... Glad to see you behind Gorilla. I still enjoy my nuts.....

Derry per other threads has great sets of nuts.....

Thanks! laughing my ass off!

Do your nuts come in narrow sizes? I heard your nuts were the ones to have.

Need a set of black glossy or matte nuts for my Forgestar wheels.

Oh and I've handled your set of nuts a bunch, they are top notch. Need a new set of your nuts.

We carry what we call 'spline drive' lug nuts with various color tops as well as solid black for applications with narrow wheel holes. Chrome P/N 65330 for a pack of 4, black P/N 65330BK. You can look at them at mcgard.com. Still LOL.
