Looking for a track car.

I'm scheduled to go look at a car this week when I'm down in Vegas. Hopefully it's "the one".

Finally found what I was looking for. I bought this 2013 BOSS 302S back in February out of Arizona but it didn't make it home until this week due to some paper work challenges at the border but it all worked out in the end. I had to store the car on an acreage in Montana for over a month while patiently waiting for the paper work that would facilitate the export of the car out of the US and Import it into Canada.

The car is heading for a complete fluid change and a good once over next week then I'll be hitting the track for the rest of the summer. It's gonna be a fun summer.

You should seriously look at the clutch slave cylinder. Unfortunately you have to pull the Bell housing. But then you get eyes on the clutch.

Sorry, I am not familiar with clutch slave cylinder on these cars. Why should I be inspecting the clutch?

The clutch slave cylinder operates the clutch and is inside the bell housing. It will blow while you are on the track and puke oil all over the clutch and inside the bell housing. An ounce of prevention............

Yeah, you should proactively rebuild the clutch slave cylinder every 10,000 miles. Just in case.

BTW, I’m at 75Kmi with a handful of track events with original clutch and slave cylinder. It should have failed years ago. Guess I’m just lucky.

I am referring to the Boss 302. Also, make sure you learn how to use the front hood lock down pins. Don't trust anyone to do it for you.

Copy all that. The car has 3600 miles on it so I guess I have a bit of time on the slave cylinder. I've got a huge learning curve ahead of me when it comes to a car such as this so any pointers, help, advice or good stories are appreciated.

I'll try and keep it on the pavement but I know at some point I may off road. I'm giving myself a couple of years before I really start pushing hard. A mans gotta know his limits.
