Went on business last week.....yes, the cars, Ladies, sites were nice.

Bought 1 shirt on Jermyn St.

Really impressed by car guys in Mayfair, Knightbridge....Astons, Lambos, McLarens parked on street....no garages in these Townhouse districts!

In the early 1970's when I first traveled to London, all of those beautiful buildings (Parliament, the Abby, Big Ben, etc.) were jet black. I thought they were made of black stone. Hundreds of years of coal soot and whatever else had stained them black. It took years to steam clean and scrub them back to their original light stone color and they look wonderful today. I love London. It's the only major city in Europe where I don't feel like a deaf mute.

The Brits have a very natural class and hipness

Brits really like what car guys love: nice Threads, hip Pubs, Go-Go Gals, nice cuff-links, watches and cars..

I was in over-load trying to enjoy it all

From SoHo (the original), to Mayfair, to Knightsbridge, to the famed Jack Barclay Showroom on ParkLane.
