No front plate - isn't just a fix-it ticket in VA like it is in CA? In CA it's a $10 ticket once you get it signed off.

Here's a nice product with an offset - I have no connection to them other than taking the product photography.

Here is what the brackets look like:

What about the holder that was for sale a number of years ago on the forum that screws into the tow hook threads?? This is what I have and it's simple to remove!!

I always looked at it as just another tax. Pay the ticket and drive on. Fortunately, I was never ticketed in VA. However, if you're in an area where you're likely to get ticketed repeatedly, $150 a pop gets ridiculous.

Move to CA - it's cheaper than $150! Or move to one of the 19 states that don't require front plates. Or as Xcentric said, Just pay the tax!

A front plate is just ugly on the GT no matter how you affix it.

As someone once said, "It's akin to putting a mustache on the Mona Lisa."

My holder is from Mountune (ex. Roush) in the UK. It's fixed using 3 fixing screws of the front splitter, and can be removed and put back in 5 minutes.
It's made of stainless steel and fits perfectly. No obstruction of the cooling air either. I bought 2 just in case I damage this one. Price was around 120USD.

That is well designed with using 3 bolts. I would be concerned about only using 1 bolt if the car is driven fast. For passing an inspection one bolt would be fine.
