I don't know what failed to happen last year. But let's try harder this time. We have several months to plan. Tentatively, late January - early February.
Oil changes and such are fine, but we need to make their big investment in travel worth their while.
Perhaps you are not aware of all the things these guys can do on the road. Well, give some thought to:
Engine oil change
Transmission fluid change
Engine coolant change
I/C coolant change
Brake fluid change
Clutch fluid change
Fuel filter change
Air filter change
Brake pads (Ford or Stillen)
Clutch (Ford or Stillen)
Painted calipers (we have quite a few sets that we paint ahead of time and install on site)
Headers (Ford Racing, Stainless Works, etc.)
Mufflers (GTG, Ford Racing, and Accufab are the most popular) and stock Mufflers
Bumper delete kits (GTG or CDC)
Pulley and tunes (GTG or Ford Racing most popular)
Cold air kit (GTG)
Lowering kit (T&A Shocks)
Shocks (Penske or Ahlman Engineering)
Short throw shifters (Ford Racing)
Mac relocate kit (GTG)
Speedhut gauges
Stock gauge replacement
Engine bay lights
Transmission cooler (Cool Tech)
Half shaft bolts (Ford or Accufab)
Front fascia grille (GTG)
Clamshell release hooks (GTG)
Seat grommet inserts (Exotic Care)
Carbon fiber parts (Kip parts if you already have them in hand, or Technocraft)
Tinted out taillights/marker lights (we have extra parts we can have ready before)
Replacement rear view mirror with back-up camera
Something else you're thinking of but don't see here? Well, just say so.
They can do almost anything on the road (with enough notice and part availability) except paintwork, but sometimes even paintwork can be done with enough lead time.
Please don't feel constrained by location. They may be able to do a tour of Florida if the workload supports it.
Step up with what you are interested in. And please spread the word to those who may not be on the forum often.
P.S. I am 30 min east of Sarasota, with 3 bay garage and 1 4-post lift. If anyone else is willing/able to host the GT Guys, please say so. A lift is not essential for most work.
